Tips How to display your Synth's ROM Version... M1 - Press and hold the INT button during power up. Displayed as "KORG Music Workstation M1 #XX". XX is the ROM version. I believe 29 was the last update.
M1R - Press and hold the INT button during power up. Displayed as "KORG Music Workstation M1 #XX". XX is the ROM version. I believe 17 was the last update.
M3R - Press and hold EDIT and GLOBAL during power-up. Displayed as "KORG #XX". I believe 16 was the last update.
T-Series - Press and hold the 0/FINE button during power-up. ROM number appears in the top left corner. I believe 28 was the last update.
How to reset your Synth - CAUTION: CLEARS ALL MEMORY M1 - Press and hold the INT, CARD, and COMBI buttons during power up.
M1R - Press and hold the INT, PROG, and COMBI buttons during power up. M3R - See Manual. A reset on the M3R is a little different than on the rest of the synths. T-Series - Press and hold the 0 and PROG A buttons. Power up and immediately power down. Note: Doing a reset will erase the synth's Internal Memory of all Program, Combination, Global, and Sequence data. This should only be done as a last resort to try and "bring back" a synth that's acting strange. All Programs will be displayed as Init Prog. All Combinations will be displayed as Init Combi.
The Compare Button on the M1 can also be used as an All Notes Off/Panic Button. Got a stuck note? Hit the Compare Button. Supposedly, the battery in the MCR-03 RAM Card will last longer if you place the WRITE PROTECT switch in the ON position. M3R PCM Cards can be used with the M1 and T-Series Synths. The corresponding Program Card, however, will not work. The opposite is also true. M1 PCM Cards will work with a M3R but the Program Cards won't. |
