for Corel Photo-Paint X4, X3, 12, 11, 10,
9, 8, & 7
| Photo-Paint's
shadows are fine for most objects... but some
objects cast shadows that are more complex than
the standard shadow. Translucent objects, like
glass, allow a certain amount of light to pass
thru them which in turn effects the type of
shadow they cast. Making realistic shadows for
these objects requires special consideration...

Paint's Shadow
|
oiShadow™
|
| Notice
in the above example how much more natural
iShadow™ looks compared to Paint's shadow.
iShadow's translucency makes the butterfly's
wings look paper thin... while Paint's
"hard" shadow makes them look rock
solid. This is a subtle effect but one that adds
a higher degree of realism to your images. |
